The school uniform is a standardised dress code which provides a functional, well-dressed appearance for all students.
This prevents potential issues of perception which may arise between students from higher and lower socio-economic groups who may not be able to attain the ever-changing vagaries of money-driven fashion.
The school uniform is worn by all students so that all are presented as equal in status in their access to the educational experience. Therefore, a uniform aims to help achieve personal equality as well as personal dignity.
